Our Impact in
the Community
Archean takes its environmental responsibility seriously, both within and beyond the plant boundary. In FY 2025-26, we allocated ₹17 Lakhs to environmental CSR programs supporting initiatives in and around our plant locations that complement our internal sustainability commitments.
Our environmental CSR activities go hand in hand with our operational sustainability practices, which include zero liquid discharge operations, clean energy generation of 52,092 MWh, rainwater harvesting of 49,89,890 kL, and a significant year-on-year reduction in greenhouse gas emissions across Scope 1 and Scope 2.
Key Initiatives
Zero Liquid Discharge Operations
Archean operates a fully functional zero liquid discharge system at its Hajipir plant in Kutch, Gujarat. No effluent leaves the plant boundary. All process water is treated and recirculated, setting a benchmark for responsible chemical manufacturing.
Clean Energy Generation
Archean generated 52,092 MWh of clean energy through a hybrid renewable energy system in FY 2025-26. Solar energy generation at the plant reached 19,46,335 kWh, reducing dependence on fossil fuel-based grid power.
Rainwater Harvesting
Archean harvested 49,89,890 kilolitres of rainwater in FY 2025-26, significantly reducing dependence on external water sources and supporting water conservation in the ecologically sensitive Rann of Kutch region.
GHG Emissions Reduction
Archean reduced Scope 1 GHG emissions from 75,631 tCO2e to 66,771 tCO2e and Scope 2 emissions from 19,850 tCO2e to 12,615 tCO2e in FY 2025-26, reflecting a meaningful year-on-year reduction in its carbon footprint.
Coal Consumption Reduction
Archean reduced coal consumption by 1,500 MT per month, shifting to cleaner energy sources and improving the overall environmental performance of its manufacturing operations in Kutch.
Environmental CSR Programmes
Beyond our operational commitments, we invest in environmental CSR programmes in and around our plant locations, supporting local environmental initiatives that benefit the communities and ecosystems surrounding our operations.
