We source our raw materials from nature, process them using solar energy and zero liquid discharge systems, and return no effluent to the environment. Every year we measure, report, and work to reduce our environmental footprint while growing our business.

Archean has charted a clear path towards environmental sustainability. We track our progress against defined targets, report publicly through our annual BRSR, and hold ourselves accountable to measurable outcomes. Our goals are ambitious but grounded in the operational reality of our business.

Key Initiatives
Solar Evaporation Technology
Archean's bromine and salt extraction uses solar evaporation of natural brine from the Rann of Kutch. This inherently low-carbon process eliminates the need for thermal energy in primary extraction, making it one of the most energy-efficient chemical operations in India.
Zero Liquid Discharge operational across Hajipir plant
Archean operates a comprehensive zero liquid discharge system at its Hajipir plant in Kutch, Gujarat. No effluent is discharged into the environment. All process water is treated and recirculated within the facility.
Clean Energy Generation
Archean generated 52,092 MWh of clean energy through a hybrid renewable energy system in FY 2025-26. Solar energy generation at the plant reached 19,46,335 kWh. Coal consumption was reduced by 1,500 MT per month.
Rainwater Harvesting
Archean harvested 49,89,890 kilolitres of rainwater in FY 2025-26, significantly reducing dependence on external water sources and supporting water conservation in the ecologically sensitive Rann of Kutch region.
BRSR Reporting
Archean publishes a comprehensive Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report annually in compliance with SEBI LODR Regulations. The report covers all material ESG metrics and is prepared by independent statutory auditors PKF Sridhar & Santhanam LLP.
GHG Emissions Reduction
Archean reduced its Scope 1 GHG emissions from 75,631 tCO2e to 66,771 tCO2e and Scope 2 emissions from 19,850 tCO2e to 12,615 tCO2e in FY 2025-26, reflecting a meaningful year-on-year reduction in its carbon footprint.
