Archean Chemical Industries Limited, through its subsidiary Acume Chemicals Private Limited, manufactures a portfolio of bromine derivatives and speciality compounds. Acume is engaged in the business of manufacturing and marketing speciality chemicals, including bromine derivatives, marine chemicals and allied products.
Acume’s bromine derivatives serve customers across the oil and gas, pharmaceutical intermediates, and agrochemical precursor segments, both in domestic and international markets. The portfolio spans Flame Retardants, Biocides, Pharma Intermediates, Speciality Compounds, Clear Brine Fluids (CBF), and PTA synthesis catalysts, with CBF and PTA manufactured at Acume’s bromine derivatives facility with a capacity of 28,000 MTPA, with Phase 1 commissioned in 2024.
During FY 2025-26, Acume launched 5 inorganic derivatives and 1 organic derivative, and its key products received Global Approvals at Global MNCs in the Oil and Gas and Agrochemical industries. One of its inorganic bromides also received approval for use in batteries, opening newer opportunities in energy storage.
Revenues from the bromine derivatives business grew by 202% during the year, underlining strong traction in value-added products. Acume also received Integrated Management Systems ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 accreditation for its site and is pursuing the chemical industry’s Responsible Care certification.
